During my many years of duck hunting I have tried several different duck decoy sets. Most experts will recommend using a “J” setup. This type of setup works pretty good, but I think that the method that I use now is definitely the best setup that you can use. At least it works best for me. Give it a try and see if it doesn’t improve your duck hunting as well. …Read_More;»»»»
The fall hunting season is pretty much winding down. This weekend is the last extra doe season here in Oklahoma. About all that is left is duck season which is pretty much mediocre here in Oklahoma. However, I found a great and fun way to keep you in the hunting mood until next season.

A good GPS is invaluable to hunters and fishermen these days. Not only do they help keep you from getting lost, but they will help you find those areas where you saw those buck signs, or locate that fishing honey hole all over again. …Read_More;»»»»
Are you running out of ideas for what to do with your venison? Is your freezer getting overloaded because your kids are tired of the same old roast or ground? It may be time to try something new.
It used to be one of my pre-season rituals to go through the freezer and make sure that there wasn’t any venison left over from the previous season. But not anymore. Now it’s all gone long before the upcoming hunting season. …Read_More;»»»»
We just went through a major power outage here at our house in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We were fortunate enough to have a good generator to help us out. This prompted me to talk to others in the area to see what they thought was the best generator to have in such a situation. …Read_More;»»»»
The deer hunting season is over in most states now. Here in Oklahoma we still have a few weeks left in bow season and one more special antlerless season (Dec 28-30). We’ve got our harvest and now we need to decide what to do with it.

Getting your deer processed by a butcher now days can get kind of expensive if you want anything more than just ground. …Read_More;»»»»

When most people think of the term Big Game Hunting, they think about Elk hunting, Bear hunting, Caribou hunting, Antelope hunting and other types of big game hunting. This is a commercial that was put out by Xbox. I’m not so sure that it’s a good idea to hold sticks with marshmallows on your head during hunting season.
My wife doesn’t hunt. She enjoys going to the range with me and doing some plinking with the 22 every now and then, but she never really picked up the fever of the hunt. So, I was surprised the day my daughter asked me if she could go out with me and my son one day. …Read_More;»»»»
