Since Ebay went PC you can’t even buy sabots on their auction site anymore. This has made it more difficult for people to get access to a variety of hunting rifles and ammunition. You have to either stick with what’s available at your local sporting goods, or you need to order through them at high prices.
Well, not really. There is a way to get what you are looking for and still get it at the price you want to pay.
There is a site known as GunBroker.com This site has done what Ebay was unable, or unwilling to do. They have brought together the gun buyer and the private seller so that you don’t have to travel or wait on the next gun show to come to town.
I have used this service a few times and have found great deals. Just like Ebay, you will need to search around a little and place your bids in the same format. But just like the commercials go, it’s more fun when you win it.
I got my Thompson Center Omega through this site at almost half the price of what it sells for retail. I had it shipped to the house almost immediately and it was ready to use by this last BP season. By the way, this is now my favorite muzzle loader. Check out my review on the products review page.
Using this site works just like Ebay. You just Register and bid. They also have the same “buy it now” features if you are not wanting to wait for and auction to end.
They also have ammunition up for auction. I was looking around the other day and saw some ammo up or auction that you can’t even get at most gun stores without special ordering.
